Grampians Health ICA – Gender Separation

Refurbishment of the acute mental health unit to improve segregation of high dependent male and females following recommendations made by the Royal Commission.
The works included:

• Reconfiguration of the ICA and ECT area to provide four ICA bedrooms, with dedicated ensuites.
  
• Dedicated de-escalation space.
  
• Lounge areas for each cohort.
  
• New staff station.
  
• Alterations to corridors, security & access control to facilitate the new operational model.
  
• Retention of seclusion areas.
